Before registering with My Muddy Puddles a free ‘meet and greet’ session will take place to check your dog’s suitability for walking with us. The purpose of the meet and greet is to get to know your dog and make sure we are both suitable for each other and may involve a short walking assessment.

An enrolment form must be completed to register with our services. This is to capture any important information in relation to your pet.

You are required to notify us of any unwelcome behaviour changes especially if it could lead to aggression or injury to your dog or to others. We reserve the right to refuse to walk any dog that we deem to have the potential to be dangerous, aggressive or disruptive.

It is your responsibility to ensure we are fully aware of any health issues, either past or present. 

​Your pet must be micro chipped and wear a contact tag to register with My Muddy Puddles.

You must take all necessary precautions to ensure that your dog is fully vaccinated, treated regularly for fleas and worms and free of any contagious disease. My Muddy Puddles reserve the right to refuse dog walking services in the event of contagious illness/disease or if we suspect your dog has fleas or worms.

If your pet is injured or is taken ill whilst in our care we will try our best to contact you immediately using the details you have provided. If we are unable to contact you and deem it to be necessary or in the event of an emergency we will seek medical attention from a vet. My Muddy Puddles holds no responsibility to pay any veterinary charges. You are responsible for the full cost of treatment and required to pay all such costs immediately. In the event of an emergency we will take them to the nearest available vet. This may not always be your preferred vet.

My Muddy Puddles holds no liability for any illness/injury contracted whilst your pet is in our care.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog has not eaten an hour before their walk. This is to ensure food has been digested and to reduce the risk of a potentially life threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).

In the event of extreme weather which may adversely affect your dog, such as extreme heat or thunderstorms, we will use our discretion to take whatever action is deemed necessary. This may involve adjusting arrangements or cancelling the walk until safe to return to normal. You will be notified where possible in advance of any changes to routine.

We will use photographs and videos of your pet on our social media and websites if agreement has been provided on the enrolment form.

Your dog will only be walked off lead if agreement has been provided on the enrolment form.

By agreeing for your dog to walk off lead you are agreeing that you are happy they have good recall and will return when called. Even if you have agreed to off lead walking there may be times that your dog will be walked on its lead if we deem it appropriate to do so.

You are solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by your dog whilst in the care of My Muddy Puddles. You also agree that My Muddy Muddles is not liable for any harm or damage to third parties or properties.

Pregnant or dogs in season may not attend our group dog walking sessions. In these circumstances we may be able to offer a solo walk on lead only and by prior arrangement.

If it is necessary to hold keys to your property they will be kept safe and secure. Keys will never be stored with your personal information or address details.

All your information will be kept private and confidential and filed securely.
